I try to quote Survivor any chance I get

The past couple weeks have been a little strange for me, you know, with not having a job anymore and all.

I spent the first couple of days of my new found indefinite vacation in somewhat of a daze. Mostly watching movies or walking around in circles in the backyard. Then I realized that I would no longer be getting a paycheck so I helped a buddy who owns a furniture store. Helped him for money, I mean. It was like I was helping someone move all day over and over again. Except for the times he had me trying to sell furniture.

That could be a post in itself. I am not a salesman. First of all, I am horrible at small talk. And really, sales is like small talk only you have to try and get the person you are small talking with to buy something. Luckily, I was not working on commission.

But maybe the strangest thing of all is that I was chosen for an All Star Blogger Competition.

Our team has the only female plus I have a gay cousin which means our team is more accepting of minorities. If you are a minority, vote for us. My goal here is try to get all minorities to unite and become the majority. I am pretty sure that is how democracy works. But my offensive line coach was my government teacher in high school so I could be wrong. Still, a vote for Team Ricky is a vote for Democracy!

That is me on the top row, far right. You can tell by the expression on my face that I am just as confused as you are as to why I made this list. I can only assume Ricky felt sorry for me because I had just been let go from my job.

Anyway, if you get the chance go here and vote for Team Ricky. It’s like Team Rocky except with I, as in Eye of the Tiger because we are rising up to the challenge of our rivals. Our team is very much an underdog in this fight, so if you hate Duke vote for us.

I’m not sure how much longer the voting is going to be open, so make like MTV and rock the vote. But please wear more modest clothing than MTV would suggest. Have some respect for yourselves.
