I am officially moving my fives lists to Fridays, mostly because I am a fan of alliteration. There is no central topic to this week’s list, but that is really the overarching theme of this entire blog. So actually, in having nothing in common, this list unifies my enter site. I think this is an example of juxtaposition. Maybe not, mainly I just wanted to use a big word. Anyway, here are the five thoughts I’ve thoughted:
1) I know someone with worse theology than the writers of LOST: Gun N Roses. They equate Paradise city to the attractiveness of females and well manicured lawns. I even think Slash may have gotten his nickname because of his unmatched ability to bush hog heavy brush. I also think “fun and games” in Welcome to the Jungle is referring to trimming hedges and spreading mulch. Guns N Roses has a thing for landscaping, apparently. This is why they named their band after roses. They threw guns in the title to try and man it up a bit.
2) I believe the key to a successful leftover spaghetti lunch is having the proper sauce to noodle ratio. If the majority of the sauce is used up in the initial eating of the spaghetti, then its best to hang it up. It would be foolish to try and stretch this one into a sequel. It will only lead to disappointment the following day. Maybe next time.
3) I often wonder who is the greatest of the gnomes. David immediately comes to mind, I mean he tamed a fox and used it as his own personal mode of transportation, but ultimately he just entertained me. I think in the end, I would have to go with the Travelocity Gnome as the greatest because he can save me money and we are still in a recession after all.
4) I wish fast food restaurants would not use numeric values to differentiate their varying combo meals. I can never bring myself to order a Number 2.
5) I think IT departments should have pre-prepared conversation topics readily available to them to help fill the inevitable voids that are bound to happen when troubleshooting different computer issues. Every time I have to call in there are always long stretches of awkward silences. If each IT member had some note cards with the day’s current events printed on them we would have something to chat about while my computer is rebooting.

I love number 5. I completely agree... it's so awkward sitting in silence on the phone with a complete stranger!
I also agree about the combo meals... however, the names should be less strange than Moes. The first time I ate there, I felt really dumb ordering a "moo moo mr. cow" Now, however, I feel completely happy ordering one.
Milla, I was the same way. I remember the first time I went to Moe's. It was a Sunday after church in Auburn (you were probably there). I looked up at that menu and had no clue. I am pretty sure Taylor was in front of me and I told the Moe worker that I would just have what he was having, exactly. Then after that, I avoided Moe's like the plague.
After a while of hearing about how good it was I finally went back, but I prepared this time. I looked up the menu on the internet so I would be ready. But when it was my turn to order, I was still unsure how to pronounce John Coctostan, so I just read the description word for word. And the guy was like “you mean the JC?” so I said “yeah, the JC.”
I ordered the “JC” for the next 3 years out of pure complacency. Though I have since ventured out.
